Race proceeds go to Scotty's House: Child Advocacy Center of the Brazos Valley and Still Creek Boys and Girls Ranch

Scotty's House opened in 1995 and today provides a multidisciplinary team approach to the prevention, intervention, prosecution and treatment of child abuse. Scotty's House provides a safe, neutral environment in which child victims of abuse take part in forensic interviews with specially trained staff, undergo medical examinations which include testing for sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy, and receive counseling, support and case management services. Scotty's House seeks to reduce the psychological and emotional trauma faced by victims of child abuse and allow the child to live a healthy and productive life free from the debilitating symptoms so often experienced by young victims of trauma. Scotty's House also facilitates multidisciplinary teams in seven Brazos Valley counties for the purpose of coordinating the work done by Child Protective Services, law enforcement and the prosecutor's office.

Still Creek Ranch has been under the supervision of Danny and Margaret O'Quinn since 1988 and built up to its present state. Its purpose is to provide a loving, structured home for boys and girls who will be trained to be tomorrows leaders. The goal is to give children a second chance, share the love of Jesus Christ with them, restore their confidence, and instill in them a Christ-like character.

For more than 18 years, Still Creek Ranch has served children and families either in residence or through outreach services. We are located 15 miles from Bryan, Texas on 275 acres of Ranch Land.

We accept children from all over Texas and around the world. Twenty-six children live in cottages at our two facilities: Still Creek Boys Ranch and Still Creek Girls Ranch. The boys and girls ages 8-18 grow up in a Christ-centered, structured environment and enjoy a private Christian education and a variety of vocational, spiritual and extra-curricular activities. We give children a hope and a future.

Still Creek Ranch operates strictly by donations. We receive no state, federal, government grants or United Way funding. Through the generosity of committed partners like you, individuals, corporations, foundations, civic groups, and churches, Still Creek Ranch is able to meet the needs for its programs.
